It has been noticed that Google making tweaks after the roll-out of broad core algorithm updates. To clear out the confusion Google has given a name to this update that is “March 2019 core update”.

Initially Google never provided any name to their updates then why this time? According to Google the reason behind providing a name to this update is “… this will avoid confusion; it tells you the type of update it was and when it happened.” So Google named it the March 2019 core update. The next question comes in mind that whether Google can change the name of this update or not. It will not be surprising to inform you that yes they have the authority to change the name of this update and they have done this previously.

For example the original name of the Panda update was originally Farmer update. Afterwards they changed the name from farmer to Panda according to their preference which was based on the lead engineer’s last name. For this update Google has declared that there is no fix for this core updates. There is a serious reason behind Google’s decision of making this type of update. According to this update you cannot do anything specific to fix your ranking.
